Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
(wishlist)
In order to sift through the large number of applications that do similar things, the ability to display and/or sort by the most recent date in the changelog would be very useful.
of course, what would be better is a traffic light, showing the activity of an upstream project (and activity of debian/ubuntu packaging which is often decades behind upstream - e.g. drupal). This could be taken from sourceforge activity rank, for example.
But we already have easily accessible data in the changelog which will let users know quickly that whatever random project was last updated four years ago.
