Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
When saving a preference, like the proxy for the synaptic or any other, it hangs and remains hanged forever. I nee to kill the proccesses via command line.
The package is Synaptic 0.62.ubuntu10
root@dsolano-
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10

I expect that when i hit apply or OK, the changes are saved into the proper config file and continue. My main problem is with the proxy settings, I can not get to change the proxy settings because synaptic is hanging.

Hi, thanks for reporting this bug.
I tried to reproduce it on my computer, but synaptic refused to hang.
Please try follow the instructions at https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Backtrace in order to get a backtrace from synaptic.
Thanks in advance.
