apt-get/synaptic: debconf

Bug Description

when running apt-get/synaptic i get the following message in the first line of the terminal:

---
debconf: unable to initialize frontend: Gnome
debconf: (Can't locate object method "signal connect" via package "Gtk2::Window" at /usr/share/perl5/Debconf/FrontEnd/Gnome.pm line 73, <> line 5.)
debconf: falling back to frontend: Dialog
---

This error appears a few times during the process of updating/installing

Thanks for your bugreport.

Could you please check if you have libgnome2-perl installed? This is a required package for gnome frontend of debconf.

I ran an update and the problem seems to be fixed. the libgnome2-perl package was now installed. Apparently a missing dependency in the early stages.
