I also get an error everytime I'm closing synaptic, but it is error 215, not
219. This is with Breezy Preview release

I can't reproduce the problem here. Do you have to close it in any "special" way
to get the error? Or perform any operation first? What steps are needed to
reproduce it?

Cheers,
 Michael

I just close/quit the program. Either via File-->quit or by the close button

same here. And I don't even need to perform any operations within synaptic: so
open synaptic and then immediatelly quit via the file-quit option will trigger it.

Interestingly it only occurs if I run synaptic by selecting it from the gnome
menu. If I run it from the command line using "sudo synaptic" or "gksudo
synaptic", it works fine and do error when exiting.

Same here. I noticed that the menu entry uses 'gksudo /usr/sbin/synaptic'. I
usually start synaptic from an icon on my gnome panel that I generated from the
menus.
I've changed the command for this icon to 'gksudo synaptic' and all is well.

This will work for me until the problem is resolved

This problem should be fixed with the upload of

libgksu1.2_1.3.1-1ubuntu5

please reopen if you still experience that problem after you upgraded libgksu1.2
