Bug Description
When I run synaptic, select Settings/
I have only one instance of synaptic. If I run “ps guax | grep 18471”, it lists the one synaptic process. If I exit synaptic, then that process disappears.
So, it seems that synaptic won’t allow me to change the video driver because synaptic is running!
If I run sudo lsof /var/lib/
lsof: WARNING: can't stat() fuse.portal file system /run/user/1010/doc
Output information may be incomplete.
lsof: WARNING: can't stat() fuse.gvfsd-fuse file system /run/user/1010/gvfs
Output information may be incomplete.
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME
synaptic 18471 root 12uW REG 259,5 0 112591441 /var/lib/
So, nothing else appears to be using lock-frontend.
