synaptic package manager gives me an error and does not open

i was trying to download gstreamer from ubuntu software and after that i could not open synaptic package manager

I took the liberty of moving this issue to synaptic since I didn't see how ubiquity was affected. To look into this I believe we need more details on how you attempt to open synaptic and the error message you encounter.
