Bug Description
Please, consider updating Synaptic to 0.90 in Ubuntu Focal. The 0.90 release brings support for apt 1.9.0 (1.9.10 is used in Focal) and has many other fixes.

Synaptic 0.90 is in Debian (https:/ /tracker. debian. org/pkg/ synaptic), but there are a few changes in the Ubuntu package, so it might need a merge instead of a sync. (Then again, looking at the changelog https:/ /launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ synaptic/ +changelog, the Ubuntu package seems to have added apt 1.9.0 support earlier so maybe the delta isn't as big as it seems.)
