Bug Description

The synaptic history shows only log entries of actions done by synaptic. I can't see changes done by apt, aptitude, the software center or the update manager. That's frustrating. Please show all changes in the history and also the application which did the changes.

Hello Carsten,

Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with synaptic history. You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu has been updated since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
If you are, could you let us know, and in the current version, run the following (only once):
apport-collect 1455881

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Also, would this be an enhancement/feature request?

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.

Sorry it's still a problem in Ubuntu 18.04 and yes, I'm still interested in finding a solution.

I think "apport-collect 1455881" is not necessary. The problem is extremely easy to reproduce.

I can understand that some people consider this as enhancement or feature but I think this is a bug. It's irritating and provokes mistakes at the administrative level.
