"X" (window manager close) won't close install dialog

Bug Description

After completing updates through Synaptic, I usually expand the terminal to see what happened
in more detail. However, on my AMD64 laptop with 1280X800 resolution, the "close" button is
off the bottom of the screen when the terminal details are expanded. Thus, I must move the
dialogue box with the close button back onto the visible screen area to close it. Also,
the "X" close button in the upper right of the dialogue box is broken...it doesn't do
anything (minimize button does work). Recommend automatic resizing of the dialogue box to
fit the visible screen area after seeing terminal changes or fixing the "X" button in the
upper right to close it as an alternative.

Thanks for your bugreport.

Does that mean that your terminal font is so big that the terminal does not fit
on the screen? Can you please attach a screenshot?

This screen shot should demonstrate the problem. The "close" button is off the
screen, while the "X" in the upper right doesn't work. Recommend automatic
resizing of the dialogue box to fit the viewable area and to make the "X" work
to close the box as well.

The default size of the font in the install window is now 8pt. On my 1028x768
laptop it fits now (close button is visible) without being unreadable. This
still leaves the issue with the close button of the window manager.

After submitting the report, I realized that having accessibility to
the "close" button in the lower right of the box wasn't as important
as getting the small "x" icon of the window manager to function. A
developer would say "just expand and then contract the terminal
details to access the 'close' button as necessary". While this is
true, the window manager close "x" icon in the upper right should
alternatively perform the same function as the "close" button at the
bottom.

I agree with you that it's a importend feature. I'm still very nervous about
changing it now one week before the release. I would rather like to leave it as
it is for now to not introduce new bugs. The "close" button is visible and
available and the font change made it visible on most resoultins even when the
terminal is expanded (which shouldn't be needed most of the time). I would like
to fix it once hoary is released, but not now.

Cheers and sorry,
 Michael

Thanks. I implemented the close with window manager close in the current svn
