Screen doesn't refresh after marking a package....

Bug Description
After upgrading to Ubuntu 14.04, I find that I need to move my mouse over the list in synaptic after marking a package for installation or removal, so that the list is correct. If I don't, it displays the list of available packages starting at the beginning.
I have seen this on several computers I have installed so far.
