Fail to display the changelog packages

Since April 10, synaptic is unable to find the existing changelog for the new updates. It didplay "sorry the changelog is not ready yet"; but its false, the changelog is available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/

I get that issue both with Trusty & Precise (synaptic 0.80.1 & 0.75.9), so the problem is maybe elsewhere.

Thanks for your bugreport.

I just tried to reproduce this on my 14.04 system but the changelog fetching works for me. What output do you have if you run:
$ apt-get changelog gedit
in a terminal?

[dino99 (9d9)]

Into the terminal, that command list a bunch of changelogs.
What is strange is that happen with 2 machines using two different distro (laptop with precise, desktop with trusty)

Take note that synaptic have no problem displaying the changelog for packages update older than that 10 April; its only for the updates after that date.

Thanks dino99 - it turns out that the changelog.u.c had a hanging process that prevented the changelogs from getting updated. This is fixed now and the changelogs should work again.
