Ubuntu GNOME Trusty Tahr amd64 - 3.13.0-3-generic - fully updated - running on virtual.

1- I have installed Synaptic
2- Run Synaptic
3- Tried to re-produce the same reported bug 'before selecting and installing' any package but could not re-produce it.
4- Selected and Installed "ubuntu-restricted-extras"
5- Tried to re-produce the same reported bug many times 'while installing' but could not re-produce it.
6- As per the Screenshot, Synaptic will be grey only when it is on the background and the process window (Downloading Package Files) is active or in focus - please see the attached Screenshot.
7- Once the package is installed, everything is back to normal.
8- Tried to re-produce the same reported bug 'after installing' the selected package but could not re-produce it.
9- I shall attach one more Screenshot to show what I had 'after installing' a package.

Thanks!

As mentioned at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/1268192/comments/2

This is another Screenshot to show what happens after installing a package using Synaptic.

As mentioned on comment #2, I could not reproduce the bug neither before, nor while, nor after installing a package. The window is normal as per my test.

Thank you!

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.
