Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
On a updated Gutsy i try to remove with Synaptic the residual conf of ubuntu-
But i get this error by Synaptic:
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.
I run sudo dpkg --configure -a as suggested by Synaptic
i rerun Synaptic and there is the residual ubuntu-
when i try to remove it i get the same error.

Thanks for reporting. Does the history in synatpic (File->History) say anything of note? Try to run 'sudo dpkg -r linux-ubuntu- modules- 2.6.22- 7-generic' in a terminal and paste the output.
