Hallo

Trying to install synaptic from software center we can see that it has two entries.
See attached screenshot.

Yes I confirm the same. I can see the same thing through software center.

That's right, there are two synaptic items shown in Software center, as Synaptic ships two desktop items, one for GTK and another one for KDE.

'software-center' is no longer used in recent Ubuntu releases.
There has been no update to this report for almost 10 years now.

This doesn't seem to be an issue in gnome-software, muon or plasma-doscover (in Ubuntu 22.04) so closing as 'Invalid'.
