Bug Description
you can get synaptic to exit 'very quickly' by entering in the search field the
character ´
I did this by accident just now, and it shuts down VERY quick (crash)
I have tried a few other keys, but no problem there :)

Thanks for this bugreport. I can reproduce the problem here. it looks like it's
releated to any non-ASCI charackter.
