Bug Description

There seems to be no way of running Sympa under Ubuntu 12.04. The two ways of running it are under FastCGI, or as a normal CGI. The former produces a segfault (see Debian bug 655269, and scroll to the end: also the Sympa mailing list here: https://listes.cru.fr/sympa/arc/sympa-users/2012-04/msg00016.html). The latter produces many insecure dependency errors (see Debian bug 516164, and scroll to the end: also the Sympa mailing list here: https://listes.cru.fr/sympa/arc/sympa-users/2012-04/msg00017.html).

A workaround for plain CGI mode is to run using sudo or suexec instead of the included C wrapper to make wwsympa run as user and group "sympa". The sudo wrapper is no longer bundled with Ubuntu though, and suexec won't work out of the box either, so this remains at least a documentation bug. Instructions for using sudo or suexec are at http://www.sympa.org/manual/web-interface.
