[hardy] SWscanner crashes when scanning starts

Bug Description

In Hardy Heron 8.04 SWscanner still crashes when performing a scan. I have attached the backtrace file.

Same here, although I had the same problem back in 7.04 and 7.10. I just used the original debian package and it worked, at least until 8.04.

Using GNOME with kde libs. My card is an Intel ip2200 in a HP nx6110 notebook.

I built 0.2.3 from svn, and the problem doesn't occur there (packed version is 0.2.2)
