Bug Description
On a freshly installed system and updated daily (just updated), all my Java based applications fail to show buttons on dialogs.
1) $ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu oneiric (development branch)
Release: 11.10
It's daily updated
2) $ apt-cache policy sun-java6-jre
sun-java6-jre:
Installed: 6.26-1oneiric1
Candidate: 6.26-1oneiric1
Version table:
*** 6.26-1oneiric1 0
500 http://
100 /var/lib/
3) I expect to see the buttons usually appearing on dialogs (usual button labels: "Yes", "No", "Cancel", "Save", "Close", etc..)
4) I can just see the top border of the buttons, I can not read their labels. See the attachment. This is a screenshot of PHPStorm. On the left side you can see a "Tip of the Day" dialog. The buttons that usually appear on the button are not shown.
This happens on other Java based applications, such as Visual Paradigm. I am sure that I am using Sun Java 6, not OpenJDK.
I am adding another screenshot as example
