package sun-java6-bin 6-16-0ubuntu1.9.04 failed to install/upgrade/uninstall

I've try to install sun-java6 from the command line : "sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugins" then it asked me to accept the term of licence but at the end of the instalation it failed. For this time, I can't install sun-java6-bin correctly and I can't uninstall nether...

If there's a solution to at least uninstall it properly...

The same problem appears with sun-java5. There's a probleme with this file that's empty : /var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/java
So commands for update-alternatives doesn't give a good result :

$ update-alternatives --list java
> update-alternatives: erreur ou fin de fichier lors de la lecture de /var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/java pour update_mode ()

The command :
$ whereis java
java: /usr/bin/java /etc/java /usr/share/java /usr/share/man/man1/java.1.gz

$ ls -l /usr/bin/java
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 2010-01-22 18:50 /usr/bin/java -> /etc/alternatives/java

$ ls -l /etc/alternatives/java
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 40 2010-01-22 18:50 /etc/alternatives/java -> /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/bin/java

I've looked to Hardy's file /var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/java which is not empty at all...

Gone make a try to fill the Jaunty's file...

All this files were created but empty :

/var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/jexec

So I've copy and adjust content from a Hardy installation... Now I've been able to remove completely sun-java5-bin and sun-java6-bin

I don't know why this have been this way...

Now config tools work :
$ update-alternatives --list java
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/bin/java
