Bug Description
You are using Ubuntu 9.10
- the Karmic Koala - released in October 2009 and supported until April 2011.
Firefox 3.5.6
I can't find the correct package to list this problem.
My wife is obsessed with POGO.com. When she tries to play a game it says you need to install java would you like to. We install the java it leads us to and then I restart mozilla and POGO still doesn't recognize the java plugin. I just started using Ubuntu and I love it but my wife wants to go back to windows if I can't get her dang POGO working. Any ideas?

My wife was playing Pogo games on Ubuntu, until I upgraded her to version 10.4 64 bit. Nothing I did could make Pogo run on that machine. So, I just installed a Windows virtual machine with VirtualBox. She's happy, I'm happy.
This is better than a Windows machine, because her networking on the VM is NAT, behind multiple Linux firewalls. (Both the modem and the router are Linux based, in addition to the Ubuntu installation on which Windows is running.)
She plays on Firefox, so AdBlock Plus, with all the applicable filters pretty much rules out tracking and malicious stuff on the web.
