This is a dupe of, at least, <a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sun-java6/+bug/351353">Bug #351353</a>

The problem come from that line : "user did not accept the sun-dlj-v1-1 license".

Like ask in that bug (but I can assume it didn't), did there was, in any form, a way to accept that license that was proposed to you during installation?

it was a part of the massive update when I got the message. I rebooted after
all others succeeded and re-applied the java update- this time it gave me
the chance to accept it and it updated correctly. Might have been my error
the first time but I don't think it gave me the opportunity to accept
originally.
Thanks,
Fred

I confirm this happened for me also. The upgrade processes must not prompt for the acceptance of the license...
