Bug Description

I'm running Ubuntu Jaunty RC 64 bit version and have just tried to use some java based sites. I tried one to test out the speed of my broadband (http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html) and all I got was a blank in the java space whereas on intrepid it worked fine. I then clicked on detailed output and it then displayed the download but then it basically just stuck. I was suspicious it was java causing the problems as I've had a lot of problems with java whilst testing the alpha and beta versions of Jaunty basically its never worked properly so I then went to a couple of chat rooms to test the java plugin out. I got into one but the layout was strange, there was very large gaps where people were listed then I tried another chat site in another tab in firefox then firefox just closed down quickly. I then tried it again and there was still problems as the page just seems unresponsive so I tried to close the page down and all i got was a strange screen display which I'm attaching. Incidentally, I'm using an nvidia gt9500 pci-e graphics card and nvidia drivers 180. Compiz is on. Update manager was run approx 1am 21 April 2009 before finding out the above. I got the java from downloading the Ubuntu restricted extras.
