Bug Description
after installing sun-java6-jre on amd64 this morning i manually hat to set a symbolic link.
ls .mozilla/plugins
libnpjp2.so -> /usr/lib/
this should not be necessary.
(This is the first java jre that supports a firefox plugin on 64 bit architecture)

I did: mozilla/ plugins/ libjavaplugin. so mozilla- javaplugin. so /usr/lib64/ jvm/java- 6-sun/jre/ lib/amd64/ libnpjp2. so 50
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/lib/
And restarted my browser.
Namoroka/Firefox version: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.1pre) Gecko/20100125 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Namoroka/3.6.1pre
And I agree, should not be necessary, but the solution came fast, so for me this only caused me to use Chromium version: 4.0.306.0 (36982) Ubuntu for my java necessities.
