hardy-heron ia64: problems to install java

My english is very bad, please excuse me. I am german and speak normally only german.
I will install the documents jre6-docs. If i press "return", the installer say:
"package cannot be installed as root.root. if you will continue, press return, otherwise type "no"and press "return". After i type "no" (only with the return-key, it says: "package cannot be installed...") , the installer says: "Fehlermeldung1. Die Installation wurde mit Fehlermeldung 1 abgebrochen".
if i try to install this package from SUN.COM on a terminal-window, it says: "command not found" but i have this file set with tis options:
>sudo su
>chmod 777 jre-6u6-linux-x64.bin

This package is an installer package, it does not actually contain the
JDK documentation. You will need to go download one of the
archives:

    jdk-6-doc.zip jdk-6-doc-ja.zip

(choose the non-update version if this is the first installation).

    http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/

now and download. The file should be owned by root.root and be copied
to /tmp.
