Bug Description

I just run a script from my desktop for updating the system and sudo show my password while I was typing. This happened 2 times.
I have take and a printscreen, you can see that at the attachment.

P.S. There is nothing to do about ssh (relative bug).

Thanks for the report, can you attach the script you are executing to this report?

I think that there is nothing special at the script.

The bug appeared when I run a launcher from desktop which has command
gnome-terminal --hide-menubar --title=upgrade_system --geometry=132x38 -x ./update_upgrade d

I run it about 20 times, and just reproduced it for 4th time. After that I try about 50 times without effect and then 10 more in a row and reproduced 2 more times.

I noticed something like this as well, though I am not sure it is the same bug.
When I use sudo to run a command and enter one or more newline characters before typing in my password the characters are shown. This happens both in lxterminal and on a tty. To reproduce this behavior run sudo -k with any command. A few seconds later, the command proceeds normally. If I manage to type in my password before sudo proceeds, it is evaluated as correct.

I'm changing the status to incomplete to close this issue since it was affecting an EOL Ubuntu version and nobody has reproduced/reported it since then.
