Bug Description
The new subiquity installer in Ubuntu 23.04 fails to create a /etc/default/grub file when installing using the 'Erase and install Ubuntu' or 'Something else' options under Installation Type. In either case, when installing on a second NVMe drive in the presence of a first NVMe drive containing an existing Window 11 installation, the installer claims the installation has been completed and that the installation media should be removed. However after restart, the Windows Boot Manager isn't shown in the grub menu. Checking for /etc/default/grub, I discovered it was missing from the newly installed Ubuntu 23.04. To solve this issue, I had to resort to...
cd /etc/default
sudo cp /usr/share/
and then execute 'sudo update-grub'.
