Would you please make autoinstall work in bionic?

I have the same request. As I can see both images 20.04.1 and 18.04.5 have the same version of the installer and the installer can even be autoupdated to a newer version via snap, which sounds great. I poked around the system and files but it seems that 18.04 is configured completely different and doesn't detect my autoinstall file which I have written for 20.04.

Uh not sure how I missed this. Currently there are no plans to backport the changes required to bionic. It's probably possible to make an iso that does autoinstall by putting an /autoinstall.yaml file in the right place -- but I haven't tried it.
