subcommander does not install menu entry

Bug #217652 reported by Benny on 2008-04-15

subcommander (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: subcommander

After installing subcommander I should be able to run the application by clicking an icon in the Programming menu. But it isn't there, neither in Ubuntu or in Kubuntu.

I suspect all this could be fixed by installing a .desktop file.

Here I do have an entry in the applications menu. I'm running ubuntu 9.04 and I have subcommander 2.0.
Perhaps it has been forgotten to close this bug report?

    outside of the source dir.
  * debian/rules: simplify the file and use dh-autoreconf instead of cow-based
    build tree.
  * debian/control:
    + Standards-Version: 3.9.2 (no changes);
    + remove build-dependency on fl-cow, add dh-autoreconf instead;
