strigidaemon crashed with SIGSEGV in Strigi::AnalyzerConfiguration::indexType()

Upgraded to kernel 2.6.22.12, then rebooted.....to a console saying that "fsck" couldn't run...I was able to run it manually from the command line. After I got X to work, I had the error report to send. I'm not a coder, so I don't know what the error means.
 One thing I don't understand is why the Kernel upgrade has recovery & generic, but not 386...
