Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-stracciat
The g-s-d in ubuntu is heavily patched. In particular, the keyboard indicator is replaced. If Ubuntu's intention is to provide vanilla gnome experience, that should be fixed.
Either "special" g-s-d package should be created, or the behavior should be dynamic, depending on the session type.
