stopmotion can't kill grabbing program

Bug Description

Binary package hint: stopmotion

When trying to kill a grabbing program, stopmotion tries to get at the PID with cut -b 0-5, but:

$ LANG=C cut -b 0-5
cut: fields and positions are numbered from 1
Try `cut --help' for more information.

Ah, this is why it leaves the vgrabbj daemon running, happily grabbing an image into ~/.stopmotion every few seconds after exiting stopmotion.

Or, 'yes, this affects me too'.

Confirmed here too, for 0.6.2-1 on Intrepid
