Steam slow down the process of shutdown

Bug Description
When i'am with Steam running on Mate 16.04 and click to shutdown,the process takes much longer than if i have steam closed or if i haven't Steam installed,normally it takes 1~2 seconds to shutdown,with Steam open,it takes about 15~20 seconds to close the session and turn the system off...and during this long 20 seconds time,the system theme goes crazy and turns awful,the menu icon disappears and the system looks like a windows 95
