sSMTP 2.64-5build1

In /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf with <email address hidden>
The command "mail root" send mail to root@mymachinehostname

with sSMTP 2.64-5 uid < 1000 work
with the same /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf
The command "mail root" send mail to <email address hidden>

I used it on a Laptop with Ubuntu Desktop installed and it worked.

Then I reinstalled that laptop with the netinstall iso and only installed the ubuntu server package, but not the desktop stuff. Now ssmtp fails.

My guess is that it is somehow affected by hostname settings, which is probably different without NetworkManager or something?
