2008-05-17 09:09:17 status half-configured libglib2.0-0 2.16.3-1ubuntu1

If I tried again following this freeze, dpkg.log would contain these additions:
2008-05-17 09:31:25 status half-configured openssh-client 1:4.7p1-8ubuntu1.2
2008-05-17 09:31:25 configure libglib2.0-0 2.16.3-1ubuntu1 2.16.3-1

2008-05-17 09:31:43 configure openssh-client 1:4.7p1-8ubuntu1.2 1:4.7p1-8ubuntu1.1.

If I try reinstallation of openssh-client in Synaptic, I get the following:
E: openssh-client: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2
E: libglib2.0-0: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2
E: libgtk2.0-0: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

If I try "sudo dpkg-reconfigure openssh-client", I get
/usr/sbin/dpkg-reconfigure: openssh-client is broken or not fully installed

I then tried something I saw on the forums:
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get install -f

At this time (not sure if it was related), I got the system crash indication.
