That makes me scratching my head.
ssh-import-id has no service or binary - it is all python.

The only thing in postinst is a sed command.
Should that have segfaulted?

Please could you take a look at /var/crash if you have a crash file of the time of the install.
If so what crashed - please consider reporting it to this bug with apport (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport)
