I tried to install sreadahead via aptitude, but it wants to remove readahead. kubuntu-desktop depends on readahead.

I'm encountering the same problem with jaunty final. :-(
Isn't there a way to locally change the dependency of the pseudo-package ubuntu-desktop from readahead to sreadahead because anything else really depends on readahead? (would eventually cause some update-problems, but would be worth a try)
