SL gives up audio device between music streams

Using Ubuntu 16 LTS, Squeezelite 1.8-2

If the browser, or another app happens to send any sort of alert, like a beep, or something when you get a new e-mail, normally you can't hear it with SL playing. However, if it HAPPENS to occur between songs it seems to allow the notification, but then reports that the device is in use and stops accepting on/off or streams from LMS.

My extra args:

SB_EXTRA_ARGS="-D -f /opt/log/squeezelite.log -d all=info"

Also, it would be nice if Squeezelite would try to grab the device again if the LMS power button is activated. Once it decides the audio device is in use, the only solution is to restart it.
