Update to at least version 3.3.1 from August 2018.

If possible, do this in collaboration between Ubuntu and Debian so both can ship the latest stable version

As per the Debian bug report, spyder 3.3.2+dfsg1-1 has been packaged and is now available in the upcoming Ubuntu 19.04 release.

If you need the newer version in previous Ubuntu releases, please follow the instructions for "Requesting a Backport" at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports#Requesting_a_Backport.

PS. I see that spyder has a 4.0.0 release in the works, I assume the Debian maintainer will pick this up once it is out :)
