scx-4200 ppd not included in the 8.10 splix2 driver. It is an included ppd upstream and it works nicely.

mmm i will close my bug -> it should have been a question about the patch.

actually i can't find the patch for the printer in the jaunty package either... (scx-4200).
This is probably more of a wishlist / feature request.

Just to clarify, in the splix 2 package from sourceforge a patch for the scx-4200. This printer now works with the splix 2 package. Can you please include the patch.

This is because the Ubuntu packages are based on the original 2.0.0rc2 source code. Support for scx-4200, scx-4500 and workcentre 3119 (this is my printer) was added afterwards in December 2008.

Also the same driver could work but is unconfirmed, in the Toshiba eSTUDIO180s (not confirmed) and scx-4300 (some initial reports) .

Hope the driver does not have bugs :p.

The final SpliX 2.0.0 is uploaded to Jaunty now, please try it. It should solve your problem.
