specto fails to detect network connection

Specto 0.3.1 fails to detect either wired nor wireless connection on my laptop, resulting in an error message in Notifications window status bar:
"hh:mm - The network connection seems to be down, network watches will not check until then."

Here is the output of "ifconfig -a" command. I use wireless connection on my laptop, and if I plug in the cable to eth0 it makes no difference to specto.
