Bug Description

I was upgrading from Ubuntu 14.04.4 to 16.04 is all I know. It stuck for a while due to the VPS thinking I was holding down the Ctrl and Alt keys, making me unable to answer wether to upgrade or keep the config files for about 6 hours, though I have no clue if it's anyhow related to this. This only affects spamassassin, right?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete.

If indeed this is a local configuration problem, you can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community

Or if you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New.

Changed in spamassassin (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

I don't know if the line mentioned, "use_dcc 0", is present in the stock file? I can't remember putting it there, anyway.
Regardless, if this is in fact a local configuration problem that only affects me, and not a bug, then I'm glad to put this to bed.

Hi Samuel,

A fresh trusty LXC container I installed sa-compile. The local.cf was all commented out except the following two lines:

ifplugin Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::Shortcircuit
endif # Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::Shortcircuit
