Bug Description

Sound-juicer does not read some disks. I do not see any special in those disks, it can even retrieve the information from MusicBrainz for the disks that fail. It fails with the following message:

Could not read disk from CD:

Sound Juicer could not read the track listing on this CD.
Reason: Cannot access CD: Error while getting peer-to-peer dbus connection: The name :1.358 was not provided by any .service files

The same disk works perfectly with K3B. Rhythmbox also sees the disk without any problem.

Also:

In my case after each disk rip I have to restart sound-juicer, because even if it does not produce the error above the first time, at the second disk read it always produces the error.

Also: according to some of the reports gvfsd-cdda is involved.

I guess i have the same issue.

"Could not read the CD

Console output probably doesn't include anything helpful:

$ sound-juicer

Is there any other muscibrainz capable ripper available?

Same problem was happening and the work around I found with Linux Lite is to simply click the cd rom on the desktop and it will display disc a wav files and then sound juicer takes of and now reads the cd. Running Linux lite 6.6. However It did work as designed for one round and then started failing .

Good Luck All Bryan
