Allow multiple selection and right-click options

Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-store

This request is somewhat related to #419791. It would be great to be able to use the shift or ctrl buttons to be able to select several apps and perform actions on them; to this end, they should:

-Open only when double-clicked (bug #419791).
-Multiple selection allowed.
-Right-click options (open, install, remove, open home page...)

I should spec this in detail before it's implemented. Meanwhile, it would make sense to split this into two wishlist bug reports, one for a shortcut menu and the other for multiple selection.

Tickboxes next to all packages would also be helpful, especially given the slightly esoteric ctrl & shift modifiers (which I agree should also be supported) which a newb user may not be aware of.. just my 2 cents.

Hi. This bug report describes two issues. It requests multiple selection (LP: #448370) and right click shortcuts. The request for right click options predates the addition of the 'more info' and 'install/remove' buttons directly in the list view. The addition of these buttons means that there is no longer any need for right click shortcuts. I will hence mark this bug as a duplicate of LP: #448370. Thanks for reporting this issue.
