Bug Description
This is on laptop alpha-1 installation, there is no icon for it in app lens.
Crash happens reproducable on initial run via alt+f2, apport then leads user to dupe bug 911834.
It doesn't request authentication when running via alt+f2 or dash (workaround #3).
On a pc alpha-2 installation no crash yet and it has an icon in app lens, so no need to run alt+f2.
It does request authentication.
On pc, when running from a terminal it doesn't request authentication:
~$ software-
gpg: /tmp/tmpQVaH4f/
Package versions are the same on both machines.

Both .desktop files are the same.
As workaround on laptop I've set
NoDisplay=false
and then it displays in dash.
Running from dash it still doesn't request authentication as on pc, but at least it doesn't crash.
