Trying to choose an "other" server fails.

How to reproduce:
- start software-properties gtk
- go to the "ubuntu software" tab
- Click on "download from" and choose "other"

What was expected:
- A dialog or menu pops up that asks which server to start

What currently happens:
- The "other" remains in the dialog and the server isn't changed.
- A traceback is output on the console

Saw same error when using usb-creator-gtk under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit
