Software Sources Window Closes Upon Opening

When I try to open the software sources from either synaptic or the "Software Sources" button in the Administration menu, it immediately closes. It happened right after I changed my sources from Edgy to Feisty.

I can confirm this behavior. The sources - window closes immediately after selecting it from Synaptic. This is on a fresh Feisty install (with Herd 1) on AMD64.

I've just done a fresh install of yesterday's daily build, and the Software Sources dialog doesn't show, just like reported. so i try d something.

in the terminal if i run :

$ gksudo /usr/bin/software-properties-gtk

it works, and the dialog shows it self.

But - $ gksudo /usr/bin/software-properties - doesn't work.

Now the problem is little different. The Software Sources window just doesn't appear. The cause is explained here: # 84290 .

Symlinking software-properties-gtk to software-properties solve the problem.

I think that the bug report can be closed.

we fixed a number of problems in the software-properties dialog recently. Please test the latest upload (0.54) and check if that still has issues.
