The Australian "Telstra Bigpond" mirror (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+mirror/mirror.files.bigpond.com-archive) does not mirror Multiverse (see http://mirror.files.bigpond.com/ubuntu/dists/lucid/multiverse/). This will result in errors if the multiverse component is selected.
Should it be included in the official mirror list if it is not a full mirror? One possible solution would be to set the "multiverse" component to point to the general Australian Mirror. |
The Australian "Telstra Bigpond" mirror (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+mirror/mirror.files.bigpond.com-archive) was axed as of 30/06/2010 and no longer exists but remains in the official mirror list.
One possible solution would be to change it to reflect http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/ubuntu/ which is available to everyone and also, most importantly , unmetered for Telstra Bigpond Customers.
