Bug Description

Binary package hint: kpackagekit

i start kpackagekit, then i select "Settings" -> Edit Software Sources (Button) -> Authentication (Tab) -> Import Key File (Button) -> Cancel

after pressing the cancel button i get the following message : "Die ausgewählte Datei ist möglicherweise kein PGP Schlüssel oder sie ist beschädigt" (in english: the selected file in propably not a pgp key or it is damaged).
imho after pressing ok, no (error) message should appear at all !

another problem is the fact, that the dialog shows no files! no matter what file suffix i use for my pgp file. clearing
the filter, i actually expected that all files of the directory should be displayed, however this does not happen.
something seems to be broken here. i already talked to the original author of kpackagekit and he told me :
" ah, ok, well fill a bug report against kubuntu.. kpackagekit has no such button."
so here i am.

is the provided version a kubuntu-patched version of kpackagekit ??

cheers,
andy

I can confirm, with the error message of "The selected file may not be a GPG file or it may be corrupt." , this is with:
Qt: 4.5.2
KDE: 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0)
KPackageKit: 0.4.0

Changed in kpackagekit (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

Setting to high, we're shipping Kubuntu, that's to say, KDE4, not a KDE4 + CLI hybrid.
