Software updater reports a failure to complete any of the http requests, saying "check your internet connection" until I change the mirror to another one, then change it back again. Only after these steps, it works finally.

Bug Description
1) Startup sofware properties gtk
2) GUI reports failure to resolve any of the http address for a standard canonical referenced mirror. Asks
me to "Check my internet connection"
3) Switch the mirror being pointed to to another arbitrary mirror e.g. cs.utah.edu
4) Reload available software updates
5) Works now, switch back to original mirror
6) Works now just fine.
