Bug Description
After experiencing display errors with 352 (default at install), I used additional drivers to test the 340 driver.
After reboot, the screen resolution was maximum 800 x 600. After reverting back to 352, remained at 800 x 600.
Normal/expected screen resolution is 2560 x 1600.
Running sudo nvidia-xconfig made no difference.
Running gksudo nvidia-settings presented and unrecognizable nivida-settngs screen.
Copying a working xorg.conf file from another dist on this computer changed the resolution to 1280 × 960

History: This was a standard basic installation of Xubuntu 15.04 upgraded to 15.10. It uses two nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti in SLI driving a HP LP3065 2560x1600 monitor. The xorg.conf used from working distribution is attached. The xorg.conf generated by "nvidia-xconf -sli=Auto" is attached as xorg.conf.backup.
